The M3-650X is designed around the standard marine 6.5-inch speaker format and features a wide mounting flange with a six-hole mounting pattern. The long-excursion woofer design handles power cleanly whether at speed or at anchor. The woofer is optimized to operate with at least 2 cu. ft. (57 L) of air volume behind it — operating in less space will reduce low-frequency output.
A 0.75-inch pure silk dome tweeter handles high-frequency reproduction. Silk was selected for its light weight, excellent damping properties, and smooth response characteristics. These speakers work with as little as 20 W per channel, though 75–100 W per channel is recommended for best performance. Sold as a pair with a 2-year USA limited warranty.
