SEYMOUR® Spruce® 98-30 is a fast-drying lacquer spray paint formulated for flat black finishes on automotive body panels. Delivered in a 16 fl-oz aerosol can, it provides up to 15 sq ft of coverage per can when applied within the recommended temperature range of 50-90 °F.
The lacquer offers a recoat time of 20 minutes, allowing rapid progression through multi-coat systems. It adheres to aluminum, e-coat, primer and wood substrates, making it suitable for both metal repair work and component restoration. Shelf life is guaranteed for two years under proper storage conditions.
Due to its flammable nature (flash point -19 °C / -2 °F) and classified hazards-including aquatic toxicity, carcinogenicity, eye damage and organ toxicity-use requires appropriate personal protective equipment: eye protection, gloves, protective clothing and a respirator. Apply in a well-ventilated area and follow all H-statements (H222, H280, H319, H336, H351, H361, H373) for safe handling.

How to Use
For metal, wood, wicker, furniture, toys, boats, bikes
- Clean the substrate (aluminum, e-coat, primer, or wood) to remove dust, oil, and loose material; ensure a dry surface.
- Shake the aerosol can vigorously for at least 30 seconds to homogenize the lacquer.
- Apply a light, even spray coat within the recommended temperature range of 50 °F-90 °F. Maintain proper gun distance (approximately 8-12 inches) and overlap each pass by 50%.
- Allow the first coat to dry for at least 20 minutes before applying additional coats if needed to achieve full opacity.
- After the final coat, let the finish cure under the same temperature conditions; the product retains its properties for up to 2 years when stored properly.
